Virtus X Dina

Puppies Are Born

April 2, 2026

4 Males & 2 Females

Litter Born: Virtus Von Der Korperkraft × Dina Von Junipera. A well-balanced litter built on stability, temperament, and consistency. Early development is strong, with puppies expected to mature into dependable, affectionate companions suited for family environments.

Litter Overview

The Virtus × Dina litter has officially arrived, consisting of 6 puppies — 4 males and 2 females. This is a well-balanced litter that we expect to develop into stable, affectionate, and highly suitable companions for family environments.

Virtus brings a notably calm, gentle, and affectionate temperament. His natural disposition is steady and people-oriented, traits that are highly valued in companion placements. While this is his first litter, we are encouraged by the early signs and look forward to watching these puppies develop as their individual temperaments begin to emerge.

Dina continues to demonstrate her consistency as a producer within the DKV program. Her previous litters have shown strong overall presence, stable temperaments, and reliable development patterns. She contributes a level of predictability and balance that plays an important role in litters such as this.

This pairing reflects the thoughtful approach behind the DKV program, where temperament, stability, and long-term placement success remain central priorities. At this stage, the litter is progressing well, and we will continue to evaluate each puppy carefully as they grow.

As development continues over the coming weeks, we will gain a clearer understanding of each puppy’s individual personality and placement suitability. Based on early observations, we anticipate these puppies will be especially well-suited for families seeking a stable, affectionate, and well-adjusted Rottweiler.

Families who feel aligned with this type of placement are encouraged to begin the DKV Buyer Readiness Experience and schedule a call to determine fit. Reservation priority is structured through the DKV waiting list.

DKV Litter Journal

From birth through the first eight weeks of development, each litter is documented through weekly updates and photos. These updates provide families with a transparent look at how the puppies grow, develop, and interact during their earliest stages of life.

Pregnancy

Dina’s pregnancy progressed smoothly from start to finish. She maintained a strong appetite throughout and carried herself well, showing steady development as the litter matured. As with all DKV pairings, this breeding was approached with intention, and we were eager to see it come full circle.

Delivery Day

Dina has safely delivered her puppies.

The delivery was calm, steady, and uneventful, exactly what we aim for. She took her time throughout the process, and each puppy arrived naturally without any need for assistance or intervention. Everything progressed as it should, and Dina handled the entire delivery with ease.

All puppies were born strong and healthy. Dina has transitioned naturally into her role as a mother and is already attentive and settled with her litter.

We are very pleased with how everything went and proud of Dina for a smooth and successful delivery.

Weekly Litter Updates (Week 1 to 8)

We post litter updates each Sunday evening. Please forgive us if we run a little late from time to time.

During the first two weeks, we keep interaction with the puppies very minimal. This allows them the time they need to properly develop and bond with their mother during this critical early stage.

We will typically post a litter photo a few days after birth (found under the delivery section or week 1, depending when we get the first photo), followed by updated photos at 3 weeks, 5 weeks, and 7 weeks. We also try to capture a video along the way as the puppies begin to develop and interact more.

We do not post photos often after birth, as our focus during these early weeks is on proper development, health, and stability, rather than constant handling or interruption.

Thank you for your patience and for following along as the litter grows.

Week 1 Update

The puppies are now one week old and doing excellent.

They are very chunky and very healthy, which is exactly what we want to see at this stage. They are gaining weight consistently and nursing well.

This first week is always a quiet one. The puppies are sleeping about 22+ hours a day, waking up only to nurse and then going right back to sleep.

Dina is doing a great job with them. She is very protective of her babies and watches us closely anytime we handle the litter. She is absolutely in love with them and very attentive to their needs.

While there’s not much activity yet, this is one of the most important stages for building a strong foundation. So far, everything is right on track and we’re very happy with how this litter is progressing.

Week 2 Update

The puppies are now two weeks old and starting to become more aware of the world around them.

Their eyes and ears are now open, and you can see them beginning to look around and respond to new sounds. They’re still very young, but this is where that first bit of curiosity starts to show.

They continue to sleep the majority of the day, but when they are up, you’ll see them starting to waddle around the whelping box and interact a little more with their environment.

Dina continues to do a great job with them. She stays very close and keeps a watchful eye anytime we’re around the puppies. She’s very attentive and protective, just like we expect at this stage.

The first three weeks are always fairly quiet with not a lot of action. This time is all about allowing them to grow, develop, and build a strong foundation.

Everything is right on track and we’re happy with how this litter is progressing so far.

Week 3 Update

The puppies are now three weeks old and starting to become much more active.

They’re walking around the whelping box and beginning to play with each other. You’ll see a lot of slow-motion pawing, little tumbles, and them gently gumming each other’s ears as they figure out how to interact. It’s always a fun stage to watch as those first playful behaviors start to come out.

They are also starting to wander a little farther away from mama, although not for too long before they make their way back.

Dina continues to do a great job. She still keeps a close eye on them, but she’s becoming more relaxed with us picking up and handling the puppies, which is exactly what we want to see.

We are starting to handle them more at this stage to get them used to interaction and being comfortable with us, while still keeping everything balanced and not overwhelming them.

Everything is progressing right on track, and we’re very happy with how this litter is developing.
