For those of you who are nervous about getting your puppy shipped, rest ashore, we fly out about ninety percent of the puppies in each of our litters. The flight experience can be stressful for a puppy so we try to make them as comfortable as possible. We fill our shipping crates with bedding and a familiar toy. We also do not feed the puppy the morning of flight to avoid any sickness, as well as administer calming supplements to the puppy before departure.
We use several airlines, depending on the destination, but our primary airlines are DELTA and CONTINENTAL for domestic flights. international airlines vary.
The Purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs including flight ticket, shipping crate, and required health certificate. The shipping crate and health certificate need to be paid prior to shipping. However, the flight ticket is collected at the time of pick-up, at your airport. If our only option is a late evening flight and the cargo office at YOUR local airline is closed, it is mandatory for the flight ticket to be pre-paid.
Our most common question is where do you pick the puppy up? All animals are picked up at the CARGO offices. Simply follow your airlines cargo signs. Cargo offices are usually located behind the main airport, on the airport grounds. If your cargo office is closed at the time of arrival, your puppy will need to be picked up at the airlines baggage claim office in the airport.
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
Flight ticket costs are determined by the crate
size, not the weight.
Therefore, the actual flight ticket prices vary since every airline has its own
set of costs for each crate size.
However, we use DELTA AIRLINES for 95% of all our flights (domestic and
international).

Depending on the airline and country,
document requirements can vary greatly. Some countries require 1 or 2 simple documents,
while others require a list of procedures making the minimum puppy age at
arrival, 4 months. Common requirements include...

-Puppy Vaccination
-Rabies Vaccination (12 weeks) Some countries require Rabies 30 prior to flight.
(Arriving puppy = 4 mo. minimum)
-International Microchip
-Bilingual International Health Certificate
-USDA seal
-Import Certificate from arrival country
-Embargo/Quarantine (We will quarantine on our property; we will not send if
quarantines are required upon arrival).

DKV Rottweiler's offer their Rottweiler puppies, Rottweiler youths, and Rottweiler adults world-wide. DKV Rottweiler's will find out, and process, all necessary documents needed to send a Rottweiler puppy nationally or internationally. We do not guarantee a puppy can fly to every country.
